Volunteer

We have many volunteer opportunities, including events, room parents, behind-the-scenes PTA work, lunchroom assistance, and more. Volunteering is a great way to engage in your student’s world, to connect with other parents, and most important, to help the school. We need YOU!

You Make a Difference

Did you know that in the 2021-2022 school year, we had 88 volunteers serve over 334 shifts to help supervise lunch or pack sack meals, in addition to the three parents who filled daily part-time positions? We also had 22 room parents, 31 members in leadership positions behind the scenes, and countless volunteers helping at fundraising events and in classrooms. Since February, 25 parents and community members have even registered to become substitute teachers to help out!

Beyond the PTA, some volunteers coach sports teams, run the Booster Club, manage school accountability, drive carpools, and find other ways to “be the village’ for each other’s kids, wherever help is needed.

We’ve had many volunteers come together to educate the public, rally the community, and donate countless hours in committee meetings to ensure vital initiatives, like a bond and school funding, get attention and strategic direction.

All of that volunteer power positively impacts our school and our kids’ education, and that is what the PTA mission is all about: to engage and empower families and communities to advocate for all children.   Without a doubt, we know we cannot volunteer our way out of the funding and staffing issues impacting our school now and in the foreseeable future.

To all of you volunteers, thank you. You put the “YAY” in PTA!
